Commitment to accessibility
As an organisation we have committed ourselves to working towards specific standards to ensure a high level of accessibility. We aim to ensure that all pages of our website are written with valid XHTML, and use valid CSS to style each page.
We also validate our pages against the World-Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 1.0. These guidelines offer 3 levels of priority, and we ensure that all of our pages are accessible to all priority 1 and 2 guidelines. Where possible we also try to attain priority 3 guidelines, but in some cases these are extremely difficult to achieve.
Further details of the above guidelines are available from the World-Wide Web Consortium's website.
Browsers
We have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that this website is as accessible as possible across the most common operating systems, internet-enabled hardware and web browsers currently available on the market.
Upgrading browsers - We would recommend upgrading your browser as far as your computer allows. Later versions of browsers often have higher levels of security and better functions.
Most browser suppliers will allow you to upgrade for free. Visit the browser's website to find out about the latest versions and to download them. Browser downloads are very large; many browsers are also available on CDs such as those distributed by computer magazines.
